An official launch of Bhutan Internet Exchange (btIX) was inaugurated by Hon’ble Lyonpo Karma Donnen Wangdi, Ministry of Information & Communications on 8th, January 2019 at Thimphu TechPark, Babesa. An event, organized by the founding members of btIX, will be marked as one of the historic milestone for Internet Community in Bhutan. The officials from MoIC & DITT, foreign personnel, btIX members and the team from various media house joined the event.
K.Root Server operated by RIPE NCC has now joined btIX!
K.Root Server operated by RIPE NCC has now joined btIX as a special member and the K.Root Server Instance is now live at btIX from 28th Dec 2018. Members of btIX can initiate bilateral peering request with them as we do not as yet have a Route Server deployed. Please see the Members page for details.
